It's really hard to find halal korean food in Singapore except for Seoul Garden hotpot and some not-really authentic korean dish at foodcourt.
So... I was really excited when Nene Chicken was just halal-certified! Although it's just a fast-food chain, there's no harm trying. Lucky, one of the branch is nearby, which is Star Vista.
Had my lunch with fiance there. Not a lot of people maybe due to the mall itself. Everytime I go to Star Vista, it is never crowded even on weekends.
We were greeted in Korean by the friendly cashier at the counter. I order Freaking Hot meal while fiance order Swicy meal.

If other fast-food chain use this 'waiting pager', it would be really convenient. No need to wait in-front of the counter. |

From left: 2pc Swicy Chicken, 2pc Freaking Hot Chicken, 2 soda drinks, 2 Buffalo Sticks (thin fries) and 2 pickle radish. |
My first bite of Freaking Hot chicken was, "Okay.. I can handle that spiciness." But after a few bites, cannot tahan!! Really over-powering, the level of spiciness literally travel up to my brain. When I see Korean reality or variety program that shows how people re-act to korean spicy dish, I said to myself, "Aiyah, they have not tried cili padi or sambal belacan." Mind you, korean spicy is 10 times more spicy than that!!! They really mean what they said when it is called 'Freaking Hot'. Haha...
My fiance enjoying his Swicy chicken while I am 'suffering' eating mine. Haha. I've tried his, to me the Swicy sauce it just too sweet... taste like honey. It's like I'm eating chicken with candy. But my fiance, loves it.
I really like the Buffalo Sticks, it's like MacDonalds' curly fries but in a straight and thin version.
