Assalamulaikum...
I've just completed Level 3 day 3!! Woohooo...
This level is a lil bit easier than Level 2. Level 2 has so much planking and arms resistant. This Level is more to abs and thighs. My starting weight is 62kg and have lost 1.5kg. My tummy is definitely flatter, my arms and thighs are toner. But I wish I have muscle and abs like those girls in the video. Huhu..
Since I start this 30 days shred (30DS), I've controlled my diet. I start eating less white rice, sodium and sugary snacks. I now snack on Nature's Wonders nuts, strawberries and granola bars. I drink mineral water as much as possible everyday. Every morning, for caffeine, I will have pure Green Tea (no sugar added) to boost my metabolism . And I just started 'food diary' which I record what I've ate & write down notes/pointers for healthy diet and exercise.
You guys will think, how long can this last? Eating so healthy? Of course, if I go out with my family or fiance, I will eat as per normal. Last week was the first day ever of this year, I've ate fast food. My temptation for ice cream has never died. It's a must for me to eat whenever I go out on a date. Of course, after that I will do an extra workout in addition to this 30DS.
My attitude towards fitness has changed. It's no longer a chore but it's something I look forward to (doing 30DS) when I get home from work. Usually, I'm dead tired but now, I am so energetic that I will walk 1km from interchange to my house as a warm up.
Before puberty, I was extremely active in sports. I will take part in a running competition and I love to compete in long jump. During recess, will play 'hop-scotch' & after school, will play catching with my neighbourhood friends. Once puberty started and my neighbourhood friends all has moved, I start snacking soooo much while watching TV. That's when I gain a lot of weight.
Thus, when I enter secondary school, I was the heaviest in my class although I am not in the 'overweight club'. All my classmates are super slim and of course, popular. I get bullied with my weight. It does hit me hard until secondary 3, which I outshine by being the smartest kid in class. That's when the bullying stop. Instead of teasing about my weight, they praise me for being intelligently competent. But... I was still heaviest.
By poly, I've lost 7kg which I didn't realised. It's only when my friends told me, I've checked the scale. I lose that because I was so busy which poly project and assignment that I do even think about food. Unfortunately, I weight went up bit by bit once I've met my fiance. Haha. Now, I know why couples get fat during marriage. Because they eat and eat and eat.
I've never put blame on the relationship. I've put blame on myself too. During work, my colleagues and I will share snacks (potato chips, choc, ice cream) and much together. All of us put on weight - even the skinny one. Not only that, after work, I will call my house, "Got food at home?". If no, confirm I will buy fast food and upsize it. And almost every week, my sister and I will get at restaurant. Haish.
When I got transfer to this current dept, the new colleagues eating habit is so different. They snack healthily -nuts, wheat crackers, fruits. When they saw me eating garbage, they asked, "Rohani, why you keep on mooching and munching? " -_-
So this year 2013, I'm gonna make a difference to my health and fitness!! InsyaAllah..
