Wedding DIY

Assalamualaikum..

5 months 23 days to go.... to ijabqabul!

I'm glad to say I have completed 75% of my wedding stuff. Alhamdulillah.

I spent my OFF days DIY and planning for my wedding and I'm totally impress how crafty I am. (heh.. puji diri sendiri)

I DIY wedding bouquet which I followed from Pinterest:

Source: Ellie

And it turn out like this:

This bouquet will be use on the 2nd day of the wedding (sanding). The 1st day will be real flowers that will be given by my HTB. I know ribbon and brooch bouquets are the hottest trend right now but it's super expensive and just not my type.

Paper Flower Bouquet (Spent: $9.00):
- Construction papers : $4 for the right yellow roses, other yellow tones and leaves got it for free from the office when they are relocating and since, no one wants to claim it, just take it la.
- Florist tape: $3
- Florist Wire: $2
All you need is just hot glue gun (which I bought it years ago) and scissors. Oh ya, including printer.

Super cheap right to spend less than 10 bucks for flower bouquet. (:

The theme for my dulang to him will be rustic, colors are yellow, blue and white.

Artificial flower bought from Angsana (JB) - RM20 for 5 stalks
This frame is to place my puisi to him. Frame was actually in black & white that I got it as an engagement gift from my supervisor. I make use of it and decorate it to turn our as blue & white!
Tags for dulang. Using Microsoft Word, I print a simple tag and cut it out by hand.
Wooden tray dulang I bought it at Daiso for $2 each! Cheap rite. I then place gold colored plastic bottom ($2 each, Daiso) and decorate the sides with gold ribbon ($10, bought it from a shop at Arab st).

Chalkboard I bought it at Art Friend around $4.
Re-use 'treasure box' that my fiance gave me for the engagement dulang. Touch it up with simple ribbons to place a pair of shoe inside.
Mr & Mrs wooden tag was sponsored by my sister. Bought it at Plaza Singapura for around $10. The box I DIY using boxes, construction papers and dollies paper.

Bunga Rampai holders
All you need is burlap string (Art Friend around $3) and small cups ($2, Daiso). Accessories will be glue, scissor, one-hole puncher and construction paper to print tags.
Use the puncher to create a 2 whole facing opposite side and tie in the burlap string to make the handle.
As usual, I use Microsoft Word (i'm not photoshop pro k) to make the tags and glue it to the cups.

Tadaa!! Da siap pun my simple bunga rampai holder.
Oh ya, forget one thing, I did bought 1m transport gold frabic to tie in the bunga rampai. Cost at $10.

Overall spending for dulang & bunga rampai holder: < $50 for 6 dulangs
Right now, the market price for 1 dulang is $20-$25.. tu pun minimum tau. I really save a lot!

I'm halfway DIY my bridal chamber..

Paper fan - still thinking to place in the middle or at the sides.

I bought paper dollies at Redman Shop (Holland Village) for $2+ to create top banner.

Bedroom props (Current spending: $5, Budget $200-250):
- Depending if I can get really good sale for bedsheet with quilt.
- With my current pinky room, i need to add white and grey paint to make it not so girly-girly room.
- Add string curtain for the one of the wall background.

I also DIY my cake topper.  I've blogged on how my DIY it here . I  also DIY simple cake banner.

Other DIY list to do:
- Invitation card and sticker tag; with the help of my friend who is Photoshop pro
- Directional signage
- Outdoor photoshoot props
- Bride & Groom chair signage
- Kids berkat

Yup, I DIY many of the stuffs. Not just because I can save money but I do enjoy crafting. It makes me feel calm and satisfied with the end-product! :D

Berkat
To cut cost, I traveled to JB to buy berkat mini glass jars, RM500 for 500pcs. It's like, only $0.30/pc in SGD. There is no way you can get this price in Singapore because I've already survey many vendors in here, and definitely more than $1.00. Now, I just need to paste Thank You stickers to the jar and I am still deciding to put cookies or chocolates inside.

Family Outfits

My mum's kain for my wedding
Purple is my family outfit theme. My family travel to JB today, as my mum wants to buy kain instead. Bought it as Jakel, a mall which is super huge and full of collections from different type of fabric. We were lucky because they have major sales today! Really super duper cheap for quality fabric.

While on the other hand, my father and sisters will buy their own outfits, just give them $$ to buy themselves.

Wedding rings
We've bought our wedding rings early this month. I'm super excited to share it here but my fiance won't allow it to be posted yet, until wedding is over. Huhu. Nevertheless, I'm so in love with mine, the design so my type lah..

Henna
Henna is be done by my sister friend. She just know my taste because every eve of hari raya, I will ask her to do for me. Even though her price is slightly out my budget, I don't mind because her design gurantee can make me so in love over the moon. Hehe..

Well, that's it. I'm done with anymore bookings and deposits. Only need to make final payment on that wedding day itself. Phew!! Settle all the major stuffs, no need to pening-pening anymore.
