Assalamualaikum..
Had an exhausting
5km Pioneer Road Run today. I do felt like I ran more than 5km and my timing was not as good as my last 5km run but I had fun.
I joined this run because it there was GroupOn offer few months back which was pretty cheap but I can't remember how much.

This is 5km fun ran so no timing bib included. Have to self-time.

| Starting Point |
I was expecting a huge crowd like the
Jurong Lake Run but the no. of participants for the 5km run was like a school sports day. Not much but it's understandable because firstly, there was no road closure. Means we ran at the pavement which can only squeeze in 2 people at the time.

What I didn't expect that there were more than 3 traffic lights that we had to stop. Thus, the recorded time is unreliable. My concern was the safety issue. Although there are volunteers to guide us which path to run, some of the runners play-cheat. Because there was no safety barrier, they short-cut and gamble their life by not using the traffic light. Instead, they just ran across the road.
Another disappointment was the hydration station. I only saw it after I running 3km++. In other running events, there will usually be at least 2 hydration stations and located after 2km from the starting point.
Nevertheless, I manage to run to the finishing point safely.

My next run will be in 2 weeks time:
This is the cheapest run, only $10 for adults (public) & $8 (passion card members). But no timing bib, only finisher medal. And this will only be
the longest run I ever participate - 8km. Time to challenge myself!
