Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all muslims & happy 25th birthday to me!
This year raya preparation was so last min. All raya shopping was done exactly a week before 8th August - curtains, kuih raya, shopping. 3 days before raye, shopping for accessories and handbags to match raya outfit. My sis & I altered our dress 3 days before and it's only ready on the eve of raya. On the eve's night, we rushed Geylang bazaar to have our henna done by my sister's friend then proceed to super-fast shopping in search for raya shoes because by the time we reach Orchard it was already 8pm and most of the shops will close in 90mins. Tu shopping macam exercise, boleh berpeluh dibuatnye. Furthermore, duit raya budak2 tak tukar kat bank. So, pakai je lah ape2 small change kite ade. Fortunately, semua persiapan raya da beres on that raya itself. Phew...
Since it's a long weekends, my family visits more houses compared to last year. The first 2 days of raya, we go house visiting and the next 2 days, we had visitors.
My birthday falls on the eve of raya. I almost had forgotten about my birthday until I received e-card from fiance. Haha.
Just 2 days ago, I celebrate it with him. We dine at Le Steak by Chef Amri.

The food was great. Served in a big generous portion which will makes you feel fulfilling. We did not try the steak because I'm not a mutton-lamb-beef eater and my fiance is more to chicken-eater. Haha. But we know that this place is know for it's steak specialty. One thing I wish was they would serve was cold coffee or chocolate drinks because in the menu, it only serve it hot.
Anyway, we had a blast of laughter because of the waitress. From the telo or accent, we know she's not Malaysia. First, fiance asked her if Chef Amri in and she said yes. When asked her if can take photo with the chef, she said "Oooo.. Chef Amri takde, dia selalu datang lepas pukul 6 petang.". First she said ada, skrg da takde plak. Secondly, we called her to serve our desert and she thought we want the bill. She was at the cashier and told us to come there to pay. When we repeat ourselves, she slam her palm to her forehead and apologize. Thirdly, when we request her to take our photo. She said, "Saye ni memang suke ambek gambar." But when we took a look at the DSLR, there's no shots of us. Dia tak tekan la tu.. haha. Kata suka ambek gambar tapi tak ambek pun.. When we about to leave, banyak cerita plak budak ni. However, overall her service was acceptable and polite but only a bit blur blur.
I'm now officially 25 this year and I'm feeling old. Next year plak da jadi isteri orang.. Masa terlalu cepat dan singkat. So be grateful and take every opportunity I have now!
