Assalamulaikum,
Paying for $600 - $800 for a bridal room decor is so not worth it to me. Furthermore, it's only temporary and it's not like all the invited people are going to see the room.
Thus, I'm going to DIY it myself with half of budget - $300. Definitely gonna paint my room which is now pink. I'm going to add hint of grey and white color. Like this:

I've decided to choose combination of number 6 and 7 backdrop. Manage to do 100pcs of hearts last week. Going to string it vertically and place the fan backdrop on top of it.

I know it's still a year more to go but I'm not going to prepare my DIY wedding last minute like I did during my engagement which led me to sleepless night and pimple break out.
Anyway, I've got all this ideas from Pinterest. Really great website for DIY ideas.
Like you can make this cake stand or dulang stand with plate and cup/candle holder:

I remembered asking a friend of mine before she get married on how she save money for her wedding. She said, when the date gets nearer and nearer, the more kanchiong you have to save.. like if you want to go shopping, you will think not once, not twice, not thrice but as many time as you could. For example, if you should buy the shoe or you rather put that money aside for the wedding.
After she gets married and now a mother, I asked her again. Is it worth it that to spend the money you save on the wedding? She said,"I rather spent it on my child". Haha.. So as much as I could, I try to cut cost.
Thus, I decided not to buy any new raya outfit this year. Only buy shoe and accessories. And I'm lucky that I can share clothes with my sister.
Good night,
RawHoney
