I am pretty contented with my life right now, syukur alhamdullilah. Compared to 2009, 2010 was been my great achievement so far. I know I should have posted this earlier. Finally, I have time to do so! Hah...
Work
I start to switch my job to a Customer Service Officer (Security) in April '10. My previous job was like really hell. When you worked in a small private company, u have to do basically every departments' job - from billing, admin, customer service, troubleshooting, basic HR work and etc - and get low pay. I can see the big difference when I am working in a big international company currently. You get the task that you applied for.
After 8 months working there, I am appointed as one of the PIC for Customer Service which was a surprise to me, because I not sure if I am lead the team. One day I got panicked when there isn't any team leader, supervisor and asst. team leader around to lead on that day and every responsibility was push to me. The team started asking me questions how to troubleshoot, to handle difficult customers and who to escalate the issue - alhamdulillah, I get to manage it all.
Currently, I am learning some new things - slowly shifting my duty more to admin customer service rather than taking everyday calls. In 3 months, it will be my 1st year in the company. My 2011 working life resolution is to hopefully get a higher salary, move up to become asst. team leader role or team leader and change contract position to full time position.
School
The flexibility of my work allows me to return to school. Repeating a module for the 3rd time is damn tiring but this time but I have never gave up even though I hate learning academically. I really hope I don't need to repeat anymore. *pray hard* Resolution for 2011, to graduate (eventually!). There's actually nothing much to say about school.
Family
4 days (12hrs) work week allows me to spend more time with my family, especially my 3rd sister. We've been going out almost every of my off days. Brought my parents to Johor. (after a decade, i finally went out of Singapore!) Treating my family to restuarant meal, buying something valuable for my mother, got my dad a hp, got my parents a pay-tv which they been wanting. It's not that i am boosting around but I can see the huge difference in 2009 there in my previous post, I keep complaining how financially tight I was. I am able to afford more now, but I still need to save for something bigger for the future. Resolution for 2011, spending quality time with family.
Relationship
I am extremely happy with my relationship with Irwan. Eventhough he's a pain in the ass, he's someone I believe I can depend on not only as a boyfriend but as a family man. My family has been more inviting to him than before, and so does his family as always. Our relatives have been asking our moms when are we going to get married. I am never going to rush into marriage just because we've been together for 4 years plus. Our aim is to have a great job, fulfill our family necessities, stable income and have more than enough money for marriage and after getting married. We already have resolution for 2011, you'll see....
