Salam all,
I so hate my office job. So boring! I'm the only Malay there and everyone in the room speaks chinese 90% off the time and I feel left out. I tried to make a conversation with them but it seems one-sided as I questioned them, they answered and they never asked me anything.
The office environment is so like RP, sitting on a chair with a computer infront of you. They were so busy and focus on their computer that the room seems to be very silent except they on the phone with their client. In the first 2 days of work, what I did was just cutting flyers, paste postage on envelopes, filing documents and pick up call. This is my first office environment job and I so find it uninteresting. I just want to get out of my chair and talk to people. Anyone, stranger..apek..auntie. I want to shout my lungs out and have fun, walk around. You bet, I'm the youngest one there. All of them are 24 years old and above; married or getting married soon.
I guess that retail and sales works best for me since I start to work at 16 years old. Teaching has also been my passion. I am so looking forward for tuition, although it's after my office hour work and I don't feel tired at all. The feeling of finally talking to someone was a great satisfaction.
I still have to stick to my office job till my contract ends. Haish..
I just saw my best friend's blog and read other graduate RP-ains online journal.. Okay, I have to admit I am kinda of envy they have their diploma cert in hands and I will have to wait a year more. Freaking just one failed module!! And the "best" thing, I work just to pay my school fees. How many percent of students in Singapore really pay their own school fees? I just have to move on and think positive. I will do better this time, hoping for a higher chances in NIE after graduate next year.
Other than graduation entry, I blog-hop and read enteries where by young couple spend most of their dates eating at restuarants like Swensens, Pizza Hut and etc. I remembered the first few months of r/s with Irwan, I envy couple to dine in restuarants and dying to go there soon. Guess when we finally did that? It's only after 2years of r/s and we finally get to dine in restuarant which is Earl's Swensen! And I realized that money does matter in relationship. We are going to be 2.4 years together soon and we still keep to our "couple financial system" - Never spend more than $100 in a month. That's why only after two years, we finally getbreathe the air of a restuarant. And if we decided to dine in to restuarant again, never used the $100. Use own pocket money. Don't asked parents. Till now, I'm very happy to have a small meal with him at pasar malam just now.
Regards,
Rohani
