From the teacher's pet to facilatator's worst nightmare

During my secondary school years, I was a teacher's pet. Being a hardworking, smart and obedient student in school, I received Singa awards twice and praises from the teacher. And today, in Poly, I am the worst student facilatator have to face with.

I argued with my faci yesterday. Twice. In the classroom infront of my classmates and in the lift, infront of everyone inside the lift. Being frank, I just don't like people to accuse me something that I did not do at all. My laptop lagged when I opened my gmail. I was about to close the window. Unfortunately, the faci came to my team's table and saw my laptop screen.
Faci: Siti, have you tried out the website?
I: Not yet.
Faci: Siti, why are you not doing your work? (looking at my laptop screen)
I: I'm doing la, my laptop lagging
Faci: Please be focus Siti. Don't do any other stuff. You can do it later.
I: I said my laptop lag, lag lah! What you want me to do?
Faci: Okay, I'll come back later

When he came back, I've already d/l my PS and WS but it takes time to open it.
Faci: Siti, have you read the WS?
I: Yah, opening. Wait.
Faci: What's wrong with your laptop?
I: Lagging la
Faci: Ouh, that's bad. Why not use my laptop?
I: Don't need la. Can wait.
Faci: Can't you see I have two laptops? You can use one of mine.
I: I said I don't need yours.
Faci: Nevermind, use mine.

He bring his other laptop to my table.
I (to my team members): Kite cakap tak nak, tak nak la.. orang tue ni tak reti bahasa ke?

Minutes later.. he came back,
Faci: Siti, have you open the site and look at the security certificate?
I: You laptop still lag. The internet is sooo slow, how can open the website?
Faci: Hmm, okay. Let's take a look at Carmelia's laptop.

Everyone gathered at Carmelia's laptop.
Faci: Do everyone see the security certificate expiry date?
Everyone noded.
Faci: Siti, do you see it?
I: Yah, of course.
Faci: What's the expiry date?
I: (date)
Faci: Is the certificate expired?
I: Yah.
Faci: So is the site secured if the certificate is experied?
I: No.
Faci: Why?
I: It's like you ate expired food, then you got sickness, stomachache..all that la. Same goes as the expired site. *roll eyes*

I end up not using his laptop because the laptop hibernate and I do not have the password to log on again since he left. I went out of class halfway.

The feeling of walking out from class was like going to heaven. Inside the class is like a prison with 4 white walls and a monster staring at me. Why he always ask me question and not the rest? I dragged myself everytime I enter any class for lesson. I keep looking at the time, hoping that time will fly fast so that I can get out of class as soon as possible. Just like I said, it's not me sitting in the class.

I watched the famous slimming and beauty saloon Mary Chia business success story yesterday on TV. Mary Chia has no education and was poor girl living the kampong life. Despite that, she is rich today without formal education from school.

What makes people rich is passion for something. I do not have passion in learning about IT Security and IT delivery. Why must it be a core module and it is compulsory for me to pass it even though I never like it at all? Why must I push myself to do something that I do not have passion for?

I am not saying education is not important. But education without passion is like eating an awful meal.

When I graduate from poly, I have plan to go for education that I have passion for. Passion motivates me. Passion keeps me going and nothing and will hinders me.

I got an F grade for yesterday. He still accuse me if IM-ing while I did not even sign on my MSN and tell me to give my parent's contact number immediately.

That's so primary and secondary school days. I am an adult. For goodness sake, why he need to talk to another adult about an adult?
