Volunteering is fun!!!

Assalamualaikum..

Saturday-
Went tutoring as usual. Less than 10 students came. Haha. I taught them maths at first. Soon, I myself get bored with it, coz only 3 of my students are present. So, we played hangman in which I give a definition and they have to solve the word. There’s fun in learning!

I dunnoe why I am so high on that day, that I crapped a lot. Met new friends… arr..arr.. forgot lah their name. All I know, one is a policeman while the other is still studying in NP-EarlyChildhood. Terrok erk..Rohani ni tak ngat nama..Hahaha..

Then, I rushed to Bedok coz Ace really need volunteers urgently. That was the first time I saw him. I know him from Friendster. K lah.. I trust people easily. He showed me around the SunLove Home, pretty nice place. Without introducing myself, I talked to this guy whom I thought is a student. Haha, he’s actually a tutor. Then, another new volunteer joined us… I THINK he’s name is Steven, while the other one is Shai. I keep on talking non-stop with the people I’ve just met till I don’t realized the kids will be coming soon..

At 3pm, about 70 students crowd the place….all of different sizes.. haha…they are adorable!! There’s a girl who really caught my attention. She look like Helmi’s little sister! I mean, exactly like her! Later, I found out that she’s one of my student. I teach 4 of primary 5 level.

They are so hyperactive and get easily distracted by the surroundings. Hard of me to make them understand. It was fun in frustration. Haha. I kept calling one of the students, Hakim although I know his name is Haikal. He’s so cute with his curly hair..always smiling when solving the questions. Hahaha..

Tuition end at 5pm. Afterwards the tutors had a drink at the coffeeshop nearby. They invited me for makan at SunLove Home for National Day celebration. Weee…!! It’s gonna be fun!

Today, I volunteered at GreenRidge primary school for the PSLE workshop. Met new friends there too.. Nadiah and Hidayah. They are super nice! We are planning to volunteer at Mendaki admin this coming Friday night. Who wants to join us? We need more volunteers!!! We will be helping out in WestMall this Sunday for Teenage Sexuality Campaign. Drop by!

This volunteer came to us, asking to smth. Without answering his question, I said, “I know you! I know you! You’re from Unity right?”

He was in a great shocked. “My friend noticed you at first, and told me you look like a good guy. Jadi, kite pun tgk awak lah, not bad lor..Tapi, jangan kembang! hahaha”

He was just smiling..I know lah, I know lah…he’s blushing. A stranger puji2 him. Haha…. I forgot what he was asking..lol.

Tiring but awesome weekends..
