Breakfast @ Rouse on Dunlop

Assalamulailkum..

My sister & I had our breakfast at the newly open cafe Rouse on Dunlop. We reached there 15mins before it opens at 10am today. Hehe.. kiasu.

Although the cafe was pretty small with 20pax per seating, I am impressed with the cafe concept, rustic look.

Menu is quite limited. Cake is although included but it's display at the counter. Only 2 cakes were available that time - Carrot Cake & Banana Chocolate Cake.

We choose to have Banana Chocolate Cake hoping it will chocolaty but we were so disappointed. The cake is hard and dry. I don't even taste the chocolate. To us, it's not a cake, it like a bread or muffin. :(

I bought Ice Peppermint Cucumber Tea & my sister bought Iced Cranberry Orange Tea. My tea literally taste as cough syrup and my sis tea was okay.

I had Crabby Patty. Although the patty was salty (to my taste), it was really fulfilling. Other than that, I'm sorry to say there's something to complaint about and nothing to impress about.

My sister said this Open-Face Roast Beef Sandwhich was juicy and tasty. I heard that this is the most popular food on the menu. 

Overall, service was great and thumbs up for the impressive interior but food is average. I may come back there to try about food in the menu, maybe Chicken Pesto and Orange Glazed Chicken Frit, looks tempting in Instagram.
